Why y’all can’t fuck with Hov’, what type of X why y’all on? I got great lawyers for cops so dress warm. Charges don’t stick to dude he’s teflon.”…

#49. Real N*ggaz ft. Too $hort – “We started out making, small time bacon. Two little niggas baking, talking bout whipping cakes. Get clothing and big cheddar, hoping it gets better. We had no knowledge of this sh*t we just was with whatever. In front of your building clocking, thought I was making a killing. Right in front of your children, eight ball in my side pocket. They was corrupt too, disrespecting the fiends I used to Look up to, take it or leave it, f#ck you.”…

#48. So Ghetto – “We spray corners, stand there like you got a cape on ya, fine. You’ll be wearing a black suit a long time. I put your crew in hard bottoms. The priest is like, “God’s got him, He never did nuttin to nobody but them boys shot him”. Brandish iron, outlandish buyin. Bentley Coupes, not braggin just simply the truth. We all from the ghetto, only difference, we go back.”…

#47. Allure – “The allure of breaking the law, Was always too much for me to ever ignore. I’ve got a thing for the big-body Benzes, it dulls my senses. In love with a V-Dub engine. Man, I’m high off life, f#ck it, I’m wasted. Bathing Ape kicks, Audemars Piguet wrist. My women friends get tennis bracelets. Trips to Venice, get their Winters replaced with. The sun, it ain’t even fun no more, I’m jaded. Man, it’s just a game, I just play it to play it.”…

#46. H.a.m – “F*** y’all mad at me for? Y’all don’t even know what I’ve been through. I play chicken with a Mack truck. Y’all mothaf***ers woulda been moved. I swam waters with great whites. She knows my purpose wasn’t purpose I ain’t perfect. I care, But I feel worthless cause my shirts wasn’t matching my gear. Now I’m just scratching the surface cause what’s buried under there. Was a kid torn apart once his pop disappeared.”…

#40. Justify My Thug – “And I ain’t never been to jail, I ain’t never pay a n*gga To do no dirt for me I was scared to do myself. I will never tell, even if it means sittin in a cell. I ain’t never ran, never will. I ain’t never been smacked, a n*gga better keep his hands To himself or get clapped for what’s under that man’s belt. I never asked for nothin I don’t demand of myself. Honesty, loyalty, friends and then wealth. Death before dishonor and I tell you what else. I tighten my belt ‘fore I beg for help.”…

#39. 4:44 – “Meant to cry and die alone in these mansions. Or sleep with our back turned. We’re supposed to vacay ’til our backs burn. We’re supposed to laugh ’til our hearts stop. #38. Ni**as in Paris – “Ball so hard, this sh*t weird. We ain’t even ‘pose to be here. Ball so hard, since we here. It’s only right that we be fair. Psycho, I’m liable to be go Michael. Take your pick, Jackson, Tyson, Jordan, Game 6. Ball so hard, got a broke clock, Rollies that don’t tick tock. Audemars that’s losing time, hidden behind all these big rocks. Bullet wounds will stop your buffoonery. Thanks to the pastor rapping at your eulogy. To Lil Kim and them, you know the women friend Who, carry the work cross state for a gentlemen. Yeah, thanks to all the hustlers. And most importantly you, the customer.”…

#34. Show Me What You Got – “Words is slurring, engine purring. Mami frontin’, but I’m so determined. Shots of Patron, now she’s in a zone. I ain’t talking about the 2-3. Mami in the zone like the homie 2-3. Jordan or James, makes no difference, boo. I’m ballin’ the same, n*gga, I am the Mike Jordan of recording. N*gga, you might want to fall back from recording. Sh*t that you write; it’s not important. So it forced him to go for the hype. For being brave, and they may applaud him. Well, misery I will assure them. Aw, baby, just ignore them.”

#33. Lost One – “My nephew died in the car I bought. So I’m under the belief it’s partly my fault. Close my eyes and squeeze, try to block that thought. Place any burden on me but please, not that, Lord. But time don’t go back, it goes forward. Can’t run from the pain, go towards it. Some things can’t be explained, what caused it. Such a beautiful soul, so pure ***. Gonna see you again, I’m sure of it ‘Til that time, little man, I’m nauseous. Your girlfriend’s pregnant, the Lord’s gift. Almost lost my faith, that restored it. It’s like havin’ your life restarted. Can’t wait for your child’s life, to be a part of it. So now I’m child-like, waitin’ for a gift. To return when I lost you, I lost it.”…

#32. Success ft. Nas – “I used to give a f#ck, now I give a f#ck less. What do I think of success? It sucks, too much stress. I guess I blew up quick, ‘cause friends I grew up with, See me as a premie, but I’m not, and my nuts big. I don’t know what the fuss is, my career is illustrious. My rep is impeccable; I’m not to be f#cked with with.”…

#31. Interlude – “Allow me to re-introduce myself. My name is Hov’ (oh) H-to-the-O-V. I used to move snowflakes by the O-Z. I guess even back then you can call me. CEO of the R-O-C, Hov’. Fresh out the frying pan into the fire. I be the, music biz number one supplier. Flier than a piece of paper bearing my name. Got the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain.”…

#30. Can’t Knock the Hustle ft. Mary J. Blige – “Bouncing in the Lex Luger, tires smoke like Buddha. 50 G’s to the crap shooter, n*ggas can’t fade me. Chrome socks beaming, Through my peripheral I see ya scheming. Stop dreaming, I leave your body steaming. N*ggas is fiending, what’s the meaning? I’m leaning on any n*gga intervening. With the sound of my money machine-in. My cup runneth, over with hundreds. I’m one of the best n*ggas that done it, six digits and runnin’.”…

#29. A Week Ago ft. Too $hort – “F#ck it, the same thing make you laugh make you cry. That’s right, the same game that make you mad could make you die. It’s a dice game, and sometimes you crap. Who woulda thought you’d get popped one time and rat? Now you know that’s bad when your sister is mad. And your son gotta grow up like, “This is my dad?”. The labelling of a snitch is a lifetime scar. You’ll always be in jail n*gga, just minus the bars.”…

#28. Song Cry – “That’s your fault, how many times you forgiven me? How was I to know that you was plain sick of me? I know the way a n*gga livin’ was whack, But you don’t get a n*gga back like that! Sh*t, I’m a man with pride, you don’t do sh*t like that. You don’t just pick up and leave and leave me sick like that. You don’t throw away what we had, just like that. I was just f#ckin’ them girls, I was gon’ get right back.”…

#27. Imaginary Players – “I spit that other sh*t. That’s the nice motherf#cker sh*t. Fed time follow me around, deep cover sh*t n*gga. You beer money, I’m all year money. I’m popping, you ain’t got to count it, it’s all there money. I never change money ’cause n*ggas got strange money. Knocked up, marked up, f#cked up in the game money. I got bail money, XXL money. You got flash now, one time we’ll reveal money. I spit the hottest sh*t, you need it I got it sh*t. That down South Master P, bout it bout it sh*t.”…

#26. D’evils – “We used to fight for building blocks. Now we fight for blocks with buildings that make a killing. The closest of friends when we first started. But grew apart as the money grew, and soon grew black-hearted. Thinking back when we first learned to use rubbers. He never learned so in turn I’m kidnapping his baby’s mother. My hand around her collar, feeding her cheese. She said the taste of dollars was shitty so I fed her fifties. About his whereabouts I wasn’t convinced.
So I kept feeding her money ’til her sh*t started to make sense. Who could ever foresee, we used to stay up all night at slumber parties. now I’m trying to rock this b*tch to sleep. All the years we were real close. Now I see his fears through her tears, know she’s wishing we were still close.”…

A rainbow then the cloud comes out we do it again.”…

#59. This Cant Be Life ft. Beanie Sigel & Scarface – “See I was, born in sewage, born to make bomb music. Flow tight like I was born Jewish. Used the streets as a conduit, I kept arms 38 longs inside my mom’s buick. At any given moment shawn could lose it, be on the news Iron cuffs, arms through it, or stuffed with embalmin fluid. #56. You Must Love Me – “Still haven’t apologized, so please play this back. While I try to come to terms with such a heinous act. You know in more than one way cocaine numbs the brain. All I did was think about how the funds once came. Then I ran across this memory and it stung the brain. How can you ever destroy the beauty from which one came. That’s a savage you’re the reason why me and these beats make a marriage. Why I rhyme above average and I ain’t shit. Glad you got yourself together, no thanks to me. Strong and beautiful the way thangs should be. You must love me.”…

#55. All I Need – “Now understand we can’t be stopped. From blowin’ Swisher Sweets outta candy drops. Like we underground kings, ridin’ dirty. #54. La, La, La – “Everybody’s like, “He’s no item! Please don’t like him. He don’t wife ’em, he one nights ’em!” Now she don’t like him, she never met him. Groupies try to take advantage of him, he won’t let ’em. He don’t need ’em, so he treats ’em like he treats ’em. Better them than me, she don’t agree with him. She’s mad at that, he’s not having that. So those opposites attract like mag-a-nets”…

#52. Girls, Girls, Girls – “I got this indian squaw the day that I met her. Asked her what tribe she with, red dot or feather. She said all you need to know is I’m not a ho, And to get with me you better be Chief Lots-a-Dough. Now that’s Spanish chick, French chick, indian and black. That’s fried chicken, curry chicken, damn I’m gettin fat.”…

Best Jay-Z Song “Features” of All Time!

#10. Jay Electronica – We Made It ft. Soulja Boy – Can You believe that “Soulja Boy” was “on” a classic hip hop track with Jay-Z? His only contribution to the song is saying “We made it”, but the sh*ts still really hard to fathom…

#09. Drake – Pound Cake/ Paris Morton Music 2 – This song makes me wish Jay-Z, and Drake were still cool with one another. Both these guy’s have a habit of making alot of “enemies”, so it should come as no surprise that these two have been in a “cold war” essentially since the inception of this track. I think the beef stems from who has the “bigger pool”, but I can’t even remember at this point…

#08. Scarface – Guess Who’s Back – Rockafella’s roster was “mean” in the early 2000’s. Scarface, Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Dipset… Oh and that Memphis Bleek guy that Jay-Z always wanted us to care about… Yeah he was there too…

#07. Kendrick Lamar – Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe (Remix) – Both Kendrick and Jay-Z go innnn, on this one. You know Kendrick rewrote his verses after hearing that Jay verse. Both of these guys wanted “the win” on this track…

#06. Young Jeezy – Go Crazy – I feel like between Rick Ross and Jeezy, that account’s for at least “half” of the total Jay-Z features right there… Anyways I remember buying this album (Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101) when it came out, for my 15th birthday. Back then I was still under the assumption that Young Jeezy calling himself the “snowman” was because he liked to throw “snow balls” or some sh*t like that… Just so you know kids, that is not the reason…

#05. Dead Prez – Hell Yeah – I think this song came out right after Jay-Z’s first “retirement” in 2003. Listening to this track, it was fairly “clear” from the “get go” that this whole “retirement thing” wasn’t going to last for very long…

#04. Beanie Sigel – It’s On – This song is (ugh)…its so f#cking (ugh)… it’s just f#cking (ugh)…. I’m just like (ugh)… and its just (ugh)… I’m on my (ugh)… “Master P sh*t” (ughhhhhhh)… (translation: I really enjoyed this song, so much so that I briefly “altered” my persona for dramatic effect)…

#03. Kanye West – Never Let Me Down – This song is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo underrated (put’s computer down, and stare’s blankly into the wall)…

#02. Mya – Best of me (Part. 2) – Do y’all remember that Mya music video for that song “My Love Is Like…Wo”?… I must be on my “Drake sh*t” today because y’all are gonna have “Thank Me Later” for that “reminder”…

#1. Kanye West – Diamonds from Sierra Leone (remix) – Jay-Z is like a “giant shadow” that will forever loom over Kanye West legacy. Whenever someone tries to make an argument for Kanye being the G.O.A.T, fans can easily point to a track like “this” for example, and laugh directly in that person’s face. Kanye will never be “Batman”, but he does make an exceptional “Robin”…
