Best Naughty By Nature Songs of All Time!

#10. Poor Man’s Poetry – When it comes to making these hip hop lists, there is nothing that I hate more then these hip hop soundtracks… So many great songs slip by me because I wasn’t aware of some track that was exclusive to some obscure 90’s soundtrack…. Poetic Justice is a fairly well known movie, but how many people actually bought this soundtrack back in the day? Actually, let me rephrase that question… How many people excluding PAC d*ck riders bought the Poetic Justice soundtrack back in the day?… Yeah that’s what I thought…

#09. Dirt All By My Lonely Treach was buff as AF on that “Naughty Nine” album cover! I definitely believe he was legit cracking some skulls back then!…. Treach has always been one of raps “boogeyman’s”. He would talk a lot of shit, and few people would comeback at him with that some type of energy… He had some rappers “shook” for real…

#08. Pin the Tail on Donkey – That debut Naughty by Nature album was fire! It had what you would from an album back then…  A handful of “big hits”, coupled with a large amount of quality “b-sides” made that album one for ages…

#07. Everything Gonna Be Alright – Some people refer to this song as “Ghetto Bastard”, personally I don’t enjoy this song too much. It’s track that is crucial to Naughty’s song catalog but it’s never been one of my favorites…

#06. Mourn You ‘til I Join You – This might be the best 2Pac tribute song of all time! Similar to the song “Letter to B.I.G” by Jadakiss, there nothing quite like listening to a song written by a “close friend” to a legend who has passed on. The perspective they offer is nearly second to none which is why I strongly strongly urge any PAC fan to check this track out if have yet to already. It does the mans legacy justice…

#05. Feel Me Flow – One of the few saving graces to an album that was very good in comparison to the groups previous album standards…

#04. Uptown Anthem – Hip Hop anthems and Naughty by Nature are synonymous with each other for good reason… No other group that early in raps inception had the “juice” in same the way that Naughty did. They were churning out “summer hits” before rappers knew that that was the thing to do… Regardless of whether or not people include them into the conversation for the greatest hip hop group of all time. There’s no denying that their fingerprints on the game are substantial ones….

#03. OPP – Why did it take so long for people to figure what “OPP” stands for? Treach literally goes step by step to describe what it means without actually saying it, and still some people couldn’t figure the shits out… This is just more proof that when it comes to hip hop, the general public is fuckin’ clueless…

#02. Yoke the Joker – God Damn!… If I could only listen to one Naughty by Nature song for the rest of my life it would be this one!… Treach brought his ammunition out for this joint!… Like this track goes hard in the mutherfuckin’ paint my G!… Like if this song is oil then all that pussy a$$ music that they make nowadays must be water because that shit don’t mix!… For anyone who is unfamiliar, this what happens when your babysitter lets you watch BET instead of doing her damn job, and pay attention. Looking back I think that’s why I gravitated to the “streets” so much… Okay so when I say “streets” I’m actually referring to Sesame Street, since I couldn’t watch BET all day, but still it was tough yo!… I think even I’m embarrassed for myself right now…

#01. Hip Hop Hooray – The ultimate hip hop anthem has to be #1 on this list, am I right? The early 90’s was Naughty by Nature in their prime. Although they coined the term the “Naughty 90’s”, the group was never really as good after 93’… Now that’s not to say they were bad after that. Songs like “Feel Me Flow” kept the group relevant throughout the 90’s, but it just wasn’t the same… And don’t get me started on the 2000’s Naughty… That “IIcons” album was pure trash IMO…
