Best Wale Songs of All Time!

#10. Groundhog Day – This is a response track to the J. Cole song titled “False Prophets” which came out earlier this year. I’m not going to act like this is a “great” song, because it’s not. I personally feel like “False Prophets” is several “levels” above this song as far “quality” is concerned. I think Wale “shine’s” on this track about as much as he “stumbles” over his on thought process, and delivery. There’s something so “awkward” about this song, but I can’t quite discern what “it” is besides just Wale himself…

#09. Slight Work ft. Big Sean – Lets be honest with ourselves, both of these “MC’s” have their limitations on the “mic”. No one should come into this song expecting “great lyricism” or an “amazing flow”. Now that i got all “that” out of the way, this song is exactly what it should be (with these two involved) which is a really “fun” track with some “adlibs”, and funny”punchlines” sprinkled throughout. The “stop-N-go siren” instrumental of the song is very entertaining to listen to, and helps “challenge” everyone involved…

#08. Running Back ft. Lil Wayne – A “hit” song from Wale featuring Lil Wayne sounds like something that would’ve “went down” back in 2012, and not 2017… I have a ton of respect for both of these guys, but I seriously can’t think of two more “washed” rappers in 2017 then these two. I’m not trying to be offensive, but that’s just how I see it. With all that being said I  do really like this song a lot. The “beat” on this song is my favorite “beat” of 2017 so far, and I feel like the performance that both rappers display is on par with some of their best work in recent memory…

#07. The One Time In Houston – This is probably the song on this list that will have you scratching your head the most. I’m a big fan of southern hip hop, so when I heard this “DJ Screw” inspired track it instantly became one of my favorite Wale songs too date. You  MUST pay homage and respect to the “OG’s” of “the game” that came before you and “paved” the way. That’s a lesson that a lot of these “punks” in the “comment section’s” of my articles have yet to learn (you know your getting old when you start calling “15 year old’s” punks)…

#06. Chillin ft. Lady Gaga – Yes a hip hop song “featuring Lady Gaga” made my list. All those people that accuse me of being a hip hop “hack” were “right” this whole time. The shit’s “unbelievable” (r.i.p Biggie Smalls)…

#05. The Matrimony ft. Usher – This is the one song that “me and my girlfriend” (r.i.p Tupac) both agree upon “one day” (r.i.p Pimp C) playing at our wedding. “Seinfeld” is my favorite TV show of all time, so Jerry Seinfeld doing the intro to this is song is very “fitting” for me personally…

#04. LoveHate Thing ft. Sam Dew – This is “sonically” the best sounding song of Wale’s entire catalog. An outstanding vocal performance from Sam Dew can be heard hear…

#03. 88 – This is my favorite Wale song ever! This song instills the feeling in me that I can do anything I set my mind to. That all might sound really “corny ” to you, and that’s because what i just said is really that “corny” 🙂 …

#02. Ambition ft. Meek Mill, and Rick Ross – I think this might be my favorite “MMG” record as a whole collective. Everyone performs mightily on this track. If you think this song should of been put at “number 1”, I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with you…

#01. Bad ft. Tiara Thomas – I tried to come up with “reasons” why this song shouldn’t be number one on my list, but nothing “came to mind”…
